    Great work.

    VDBL

  2. WAMFtroupe Says:

Larry the Cable Guy is awful. You had some really good points, particularly when you defined a comic and his role in society. If we had more comics like you in the mainstream people like this wouldn’t make it past straight to dvd sucsess.

  3. PRCadv3rsary Says:

right on.. you just gained yourself a big fan today who had never heard of you before :)

  4. Catenabi Says:

    Couldn’t agree more.

  5. n64tolkien Says:

he does have a point about that Git-R-Done Fer God sign

  6. n64tolkien Says:

that’s not his fault, that’s other people’s fault, and doesn’t take away the fact that Larry is supposed to be a satirical character

  7. thehofstetter Says:

Love him. I believe he’s one of the better comics out there.

  8. ddemaree07 Says:

just curious, whats your opinion on louis ck?

  9. DakotasVideos Says:

I’m for Steve here. When a parody turns into a symbol of the people he is doing a parody of, well, that’s just sad.

  10. Stammon Says:

    Waaa Waaaa Waaa!!!

Cry all you want, Larry (Dan) makes money. You don’t.
People tend not to find self important assholes funny. Or want to pay to see them. I enjoy Larry, I find you irritating. I’ll pay to see Larry. You, I send you free utube comments.

  11. TheGodKingSatanX Says:

larry is alright, this guy needs to shut the fuck up.

  12. michaelddyck Says:

May the truth be set free LMAO!!!!!

  13. mandolinroad Says:

    Great video, Steve. Very funny.

  14. mlane120 Says:

Aside from this video, he only talks about Larry for 3 minutes in “Cure for the Cable Guy”, so that makes only 10 minutes of his material making fun of Larry. Making fun of Larry may have gained him some fame, but what really got his name out there were his friend quests on Facebook, and later, Myspace, and that was before he even mentioned him.

  15. Kodiak333 Says:

Ok thats fine, but he does base a portion part of his act on Larry. I’m sure the part about Larry is what he’s most famous for (isn’t the cover of one of his cd’s a little Larry doll with a noose around his neck?). So either way he’s basing enough of his act on Larry that if Larry wasn’t so successful, he wouldn’t be nearly as well known.

  16. mlane120 Says:

He doesn’t base his entire act on attacking Larry, and you wouldn’t know that because you haven’t seen his act beyond this video.

  17. Kodiak333 Says:

It’s kinda sad when a comedian is so unfunny, that he has to base his entire act on attacking a very successful comedian.

  18. cognitivemagic Says:

A comedians #1 job is: to make people laugh

In this respect, this video has failed miserably.

An ideological propagandist’s #1 job is : “to find something questionable about society and to pick it apart using…(fill in your own blank)”

Is Larry the Cable Guy anymore offensive than Martin Lawrence? Or Carlos Mencia? Or Lewis Black?

I would say “no” because he isn’t trying to “make you think”….he’s trying to make you laugh.

And with greater success than you, sir. Don’t be hatin’.

  19. Sucot Says:

you might as well have an issue with the Simpsons or family guy, heck with the whole media which portrays fathers, as dumb fat, lazy slobs. Come to think of it you remind me very much of Frank Grimmes or “Grimmy” as homer use to called him.

  20. tylandal Says:

Hey man! Cheers to tonight’s show at the University of Idaho. I’m wearing the Douche T-shirt tomorrow!

  21. TheNeocatZone Says:

Okay, my bad, I am only watching one video. My only point in the dialogue is compared to O’Reilly and Bush, Larry and Hilton are not that big of a worry to me and Larry certainly is being reckless, I just don’t know that he’s being nefarious.

  22. thehofstetter Says:

I have written plenty about Bill O’Reilly, George Bush, Paris Hilton, and other horsemen of the apocalypse. You’re just watching one video.

  23. TheNeocatZone Says:

The dumbing down of America is part of why we were at war.
Of which, as far as Ive been able to tell, Larry has played a miniscule role. What about Bill OReilly?
    And yes, he knows.
So hes intentionally making fun of people he sees as idiots?

  24. thehofstetter Says:

The dumbing down of America is part of why we were at war. If we were smarter and better informed, we wouldn’t have supported this effort (or re-elected Bush).

And yes, he knows. I addressed that in the very video you’re replying to.

  25. TheNeocatZone Says:

P.S. I’m sorry. I meant to put quotations around your statements.
